Our team carefully reviews each listing using serial numbers, listing details, photos, and seller profile information to help confirm the bike is accurately represented in terms of authenticity and condition before an auction goes live. Once the bike is delivered, the buyer is given a review window to confirm the item matches the listing before funds are released to the seller. It’s a safer, more trusted way to buy and sell bikes online.

Each auction includes a public comment thread for buyer questions, with active moderation to help keep discussions respectful, relevant, and safe for everyone involved.

How does bidding work on bike auctions?
↑ Back to OverviewBuyers must have a registered ReRide Bikes account with a verified driver’s license to bid.
Sellers are prohibited from bidding on their own auctions.
A card hold is required with every bid to verify commitment and keep auctions fair. When a bid is placed, a 10% authorization hold is applied to the bidder’s credit or debit card. If you do not win, or if you win and complete payment, the hold is released. If you win and fail to pay, the held amount may be charged.
All bids placed are serious commitments. Winning bidders are expected to complete the purchase under ReRide’s Terms of Service.
Auction protection software prevents last-second bidding manipulation. When a bid is placed in the final moments, the clock extends for 1 additional minute.
Buyers are encouraged to carefully review the listing details, photos, and public comments before placing a bid.
What happens after the auction ends?

Seller Review
Seller has 24 hours to accept or counteroffer.
Secure Checkout
Buyer checks out via Stripe. Funds are placed in escrow with 100% insurance coverage.
Shipping
Seller ships within 72 hours privately, or 48 hours after receiving Bikeflights packaging.
No Deal Path
If no agreement or no bids, listing moves to Last Chance Bikes for 72 hours, then is archived.

No hidden fees here. Two simple rates — one for sellers, one for buyers — both capped so you always know exactly what you'll pay before you commit.

How do we authenticate bikes?

Serial Number Verification
Every bike’s serial number is run through a database before being approved for auction to ensure there is no resale of stolen bikes.
Expert Listing Review
Our expert team reviews each listing to ensure the condition is accurately represented. Listings that do not meet condition standards are returned to the seller for revision before going live.
Seller Identity Verification
All sellers are required to provide a valid driver’s license to confirm identity.
Bank Account Validation
A verified bank account is required to sell or buy, adding another layer of accountability and protection.
What happens if a bike doesn’t receive a bid during the 7-day time period?
↑ Back to OverviewIf an auction ends without bids, your listing doesn’t disappear. It enters a final opportunity phase designed to give buyers one last chance.
The bike is automatically moved to our Last Chance Bikes section for 72 hours.
During this period, buyers can send offers directly to the seller for consideration.
If no agreement is reached within 72 hours, the listing is archived.
